Weekend Motorsports Roundup, Oct. 1-2, 2016
Weekend Motorsports Roundup, Oct. 1-2, 2016-August 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:28

Welcome to the Jalopnik , where we let you know what’s going on in the world of racing, where you can see it, and where you can talk about it all in one convenient place. Where else would you want to spend your weekend?

Happy weekend, and happy October! To celebrate, there’s plenty of racing to keep you entertained.

Formula One is back for the Malaysian Grand Prix this weekend, and hopefully they can avoid unwanted guests—such as, oh, you know, —from making their way onto the race track. But if you’re even relatively close to the Eastern Time Zone, that probably won’t be a concern. You’ll either have to wake up in the middle of the night for this race or wait until you wake up to find out won.

NASCAR’s top three series are split up once again, with the Sprint Cup Series and Xfinity Series at Dover International Speedway while the Camping World Truck Series is at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The trucks had a wild first race of their championship Chase in New Hampshire last weekend, too—there were so many wrecks that .

With four events left in the championship, NHRA is in Pennsylvania for the weekend. The FIA World Rally Championship will be in France, and its power stage will be televised. Over on , the FIM World Superbike Championship will be live from France and the FIA World Rally Championship is in Latvia.

The Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup will stream on YouTube as well, but we’re still waiting on times to add to the schedule. The account broadcasting it, Nismo TV, can be found .

If you know of any additional streams or events going on this weekend, please feel free to share in the comments below.
