Welcome to the Jalopnik , where we let you know what's going on in the world of racing, where you can see it, and where you can talk about it all in one convenient place. Where else would you want to spend your weekend?
This is a light week in racing, given that several major series are either wrapped up for the season (Tudor United SportsCar) or on hiatus for the week (Formula One).
MotoGP and NASCAR are holding the fort down on TV, though. Truck racin'! We get the trucks on TV, and they're at Talledega.
We get some cool series we don't usually see on American TV, too—namely, Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters and the Blancpain GT3 series. If you don't love the insanity that is a DTM racer, I'm not sure we can be friends anymore.

Some things never change, and NASCAR's gonna NASCAR. Brad Keselowski got into a fight with both…
Will the embattled superstars at the bottom of the standings survive elimination in the last leg of the Contender Round of the Chase? We shall see. Four competitors get dropped from contention Sunday afternoon.

Locally, our track day season is just warming up in Texas. Hey, it's finally cool enough for people to want to be outside. If you're near College Station, you can drop by Texas World Speedway and see the only racecar to have ever disproved the Jalopnik bump in action. (I'm running the 944 at a trackday, bro. Bro. BRO.)
