Would You Pay $165,000 For A Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport?
Would You Pay $165,000 For A Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport?-July 2024

Because that’s apparently how much the most hopped-up, race ready will cost you. At least before you start adding options, anyway.

Citing insider info, reports the upcoming track-only Cayman GT4—which packs a 3.8-liter flat-six engine, a PDK gearbox, suspension bits from the 911 GT3 Cup, racing brakes, a safety cage and a six-point harness all from the factory—will start in the mid-$160,000 range.

And then you start adding options, which will push the Cayman GT4 racer into Audi R8 V10 Plus/territory:

Other factory options are reportedly limited to air jacks ($4,200), Recaro bucket seats ($3,900), and a package of spare parts that will cost between $9,000 and $10,000. The spares kit includes a replacement front and rear bumper, as well as new brakes and wheels. That could put the car’s true sticker price at $182,100-$183,100.

Then again, this isn’t a street legal supercar—it’s a track-only variant. It’s a race car. It’s designed to do battle in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, the Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy, the Pirelli World Challenge and more.

So yeah, when you think of it that way, it’s kind of a bargain, even if it’s “just” a Cayman. How hardcore are your track days, bro?

Expect the Cayman GT4 Clubsport to debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show next month.
