Your Next Car Should Be Green
Your Next Car Should Be Green-March 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:09:51

Hello readers, I know you see my name and think “Oh goody, Tom is here to drop some car buying wisdom on me.” And you would be right—while you should pay attention to all that math stuff I keep harping about, my most important tip is that your next car should be green.

You may have noticed that we have featured a few green cars on this fine website recently. Our man Andrew got to rock a green which he liked better than the newer and faster DB11. Do you know why the DB9 was better?

That’s right, it was green. Had the DB11 come in green, I bet Mr. Collins would have had a different opinion.

Our friend Jeff Glucker from Hooniverse also drove the new in a stunning shade of green. It was an awesome car, mostly due to the fact that it was green. The Audi is available in other wonderful colors like Nardo Grey, but they are not as good as green.

The world ahead of me is nothing but red dirt and blue sky, bisected by a single snake of…

If you like British cars like Mini Coopers, Land Rovers or Jaguars, the only real appropriate color is green. You could spend a small fortune on a, but you don’t have to.

It is possible to get a fun and fast car for a reasonable price in green, like the 2018 Volkswagen GTI.

Or maybe you are like the millions of car buyers who just want a practical family car. No problem! The Subaru Outback comes in Wilderness Green Metallic, for all your outdoor adventures.

“But I don’t like green,” you may be saying.

Nonsense! Green is good. It is good because it is not white or grey or silver. that I would consider acceptable. But blue is not green, and blue is still “mainstream.” You aren’t mainstream; you are different. Be different.

Your next car should be green.

Montana Craigslist Is Full Of Insanely Good Cars
Montana Craigslist Is Full Of Insanely Good Cars
For the most part, the, but for whatever reason CL is holding out in Montana. It has one of the most implausibly amazing set of listings I’ve ever seen. I noticed a few years ago that Montana’s Craigslist seemed to be consistently filled with oddball cars, but I’d kind of...

If You're Brave Enough To Buy A BMW 8 Series, This Is What You Should Do
If You're Brave Enough To Buy A BMW 8 Series, This Is What You Should Do
The 1993 BMW 850ci you see here would have cost about $85,000 when it was new, almost $150,000 in . If you dowant one today, it took me nine seconds to find for under nine grand. There’s depreciation, and then there’s whatever that is. They’re cheap now for two reasons:...

At $12,500, Could This 2006 BMW Z4 M Roadster Have You Saying Mmmmmm?
Alfred Hitchcock may have wanted you to Dial M for Murder but if the price is right you might just want to dial up today’s Z4 instead. It’s been M-massaged, but is it too murdered out for your tastes? I don’t really know why it is, but people really seem...

No, Kia Is Not Requiring Dealerships To Mark Up The Stinger
I’ve brokered thousands of deals and have encountered a variety of excuses as to why a car’s price was not competitive, but I’ve have never had a dealer say the automaker made them charge more. If the email I just got is any indication of the norm, the excellent is...

At $24,999, Will This Double-Door Subie-Powered 1991 VW Vanagon Double Your Pleasure?
It’s hard to imagine, but minivans didn’t always have two back doors. Today’s Vanagon comes from that era, but still sports four ports. It also has a Subaru six, and a price tag we’re going to judge. Yesterday, we slipped onto our muscle tees and jorts, combed back our mullets,...

At $4,950, Does This 1987 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am GTA Mean The Bird Is The Word?
The GTA in today’s Nice Price or Crack Pipe Trans Am GTA stands for Grand Touring Americano, not the more common usage that’s also the title of a popular video game. Let’s see if this ‘Bird’s price makes it that other kind. Last Friday we learned two things. The first...
