Josef Newgarden Sweeps IndyCar’s Iowa Doubleheader

Will Power winning the pole at Iowa Speedway set the tone for the weekend, Penske dominance. Each race had long periods where all three Team Penske cars locked out the podium positions as they lapped most of the field. However, Penske couldn’t secure a much-coveted 1-2-3 finish as Will Power brushed the Turn 4 wall in Race 1 and Scott McLaughlin faded late in Race 2.

Josef Newgarden would win both races, his fourth and fifth oval race wins in a row. Al Unser Sr. was the last driver to win five straight oval races in 1970. Having A Frozen F1 Track Almost To Yourself Is The Stuff Of Slippery Slidey Dreams
Formula One’s winter test day at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya was snowed out this morning with no cars on course until the afternoon. For once, we’re not super jealous of the F1 drivers. Open cockpits are awfully drafty. Clearly, the driver sent to do reconnaissance laps had the better job...

Barrier-Breaking Ferrari Ace Christina Nielsen Now Gets Her Own Awesome Lego Set
If you scroll down the “Speed Champions” motorsports section of Lego’s online shop, you’ll see far more plastic facial hair than ponytails or lipstick outlines. The ones with feminine features don’t tend to be in the starring role as the driver. That’s until you get to a red Ferrari with...

Putting A Cupholder In My Race Car Is The Best Decision I've Ever Made
I am neither proud nor ashamed of my coffee habit. I learned to drive in the Seattle area as Starbucks was well on its way to world domination, so I knew from an early age that a cupholder is one of the bare necessities a car must have. Even my...

Formula Drift Returns To Irwindale Speedway, The Track That Refuses To Die
For years now, SoCal’s Irwindale Speedway has been stuck in a loop of closing then not closing then closing and not closing again. But now that we know Irwindale get bulldozed for a crappy shopping mall, will return to where it all began in America with FD’s first North American...
