Surprise! Porsche's Gift Bags Have Parts Numbers
Surprise! Porsche's Gift Bags Have Parts Numbers-May 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:47

There was an amusing little Easter egg on : a little alphanumeric code on the bottom that should look familiar to anyone who's spent grueling hours digging through the Porsche .

Sure enough, there's a part number for gift bags. Fill one with replacements for stuff I've broken on the race car and I'll be a happy little elf.

Everything must have an assigned reference number to keep it all in order. We can't have gift bags getting lost in ze system. Nein, sir.

This may border on hyper-organized overkill, but given how many times having the right part number on hand has saved my bacon, I can't help but smile a little at seeing one under the tree.

The American Divide That Created International Motorsport
The American Divide That Created International Motorsport
The ubiquity of seeing German and Japanese vehicles alongside American cars on roads in the United States might make this apparent contrast feel like a recent phenomenon. Competition between American manufacturers and foreign cars is as old as the automobile itself, tracing its roots back to the late 19th...

Is the U.S. Ready For Three F1 Races Again?
In 1982, the United States became the first country to host three races in a single Formula One World Championship season. The trio of events featured races in Long Beach, downtown Detroit, and Las Vegas in the infamous parking lot at Caesars Palace. Another country wouldn’t hold three F1...

The Last Stand For Rossi's Chainsaw-Wielding Fans
The Last Stand For Rossi's Chainsaw-Wielding Fans
One of the most vivid differences between MotoGP and Formula One is the legions of absurdly rowdy fans that line the track at each MotoGP event. The return of spectators at some events this season was certainly welcome after running the 2020 season with either severely limited attendance or...
